Chapter Guidelines:

Agenda

Each meeting opens with guest introductions, announcements and members' kudos to other members for referrals. One member (preassigned speaker) gives a 10 minute presentation about her industry or business, states type of leads that are most beneficial to her and answers any questions. Following the speaker each
member gives a brief (30 second) introduction and “commercial”. Periodically we will do roundtable discussions or other networking activities in place of commercials. The meeting is adjourned between 9:00 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. NOTE: Assigned speaker should contact the current Chair prior to the meeting if slides are
to be shown or other special set up is needed.

Guests

Guests who are exploring membership possibilities are welcome to attend up to two meetings, with no cost or obligation, to experience the group’s networking environment and to meet other members.

Membership

We welcome businesswomen who are engaged in business-to-business endeavors as entrepreneurs, service providers or salespeople, as long as their business does not compete with or overlap the business of a current member.

Membership is limited to 40, but slots open as members make career changes or move to other locations. Regular attendance and up-to-date dues are also requirements. Members who are unable to attend regularly miss opportunities to give and receive referrals. Unreasonable absences could forfeit their membership.

Benefits

In addition to bi-weekly meetings where general and specific leads are shared, Business Women of the Triad maintains this web site with members' profiles and photos to help you gain exposure and solidify your brand.

Our website site serves as a fast connection to information about members' services, products and their contact information. We also encourage all members to meet one-on-one with the other members at least once a year to learn
more about their businesses, opportunities for referrals and discover synergies.

Dues

Effective January, 2024 - Annual dues $100. Payment of the $100 is due on January 1. If dues are not paid within the month they are due, a $20 late charge will be added. If the member has not paid her dues within 6 weeks of due date, her membership will be dropped and that business slot will be open for a new member. All dues can be paid electronically through our website.

New members joining pay $100 annual dues plus a $75 initiation fee to cover profile set-up and name badge. Members joining after July 1 will pay $50 annual dues plus $75 initiation fee.

Attendance
& Lateness

Members are encouraged to arrive on time or at 8:00 a.m. for informal networking.

We recognize the need to miss meetings when workload, business meetings, illness, recovery and family circumstances prevent attendance.

When the Membership Engagement Leader receives notification prior to a meeting or on the meeting day explaining an absence,  it will be marked as excused.

Please notify by sending a text message including your name to Cherri Walston (current Membership Engagement Leader) at 336-392-7960.

Members who have a combination of 2 unexcused absences within a quarter will forfeit their membership and their slot is open to another prospective member.
